It is another pleasant day at a sandy beach in Southern California. I see seagulls everywhere and it looks like a playbook from the movie "Bird". They ignore posted signs and behave just like the human beach-goers.

A kingfisher beats a pelican to the punch. He finds a perfect spot for dinner behind the rocky shore. Under the moonlit sky, the city skyline put on a splashy show with sparkling neon lights. In this painting, I incorporates scenes both above and below water.

Kingfishers usually hunt in fresh water. Occasionally, they can be seen feeding in shallow salt water if fresh water sources are not available. This painting incorporates seascape and waves with Kingfishers diving for food underwater.
