By the River Bank (Acrylic on canvas 24”x48”x1.5”)
Herbert Chow
Blue herons like to forage in calm fresh waters and slow moving rivers. They often hunt silently along wetlands, or seen flying high over tall trees. This quiet river bank provides a shelter and a safe nesting ground for blue herons. The slow flying Blue Heron with its great wing span is a majestic sight. The very slow wingbeats, tucked-in neck and trailing legs create an unmistakable image in flight. In this evening, the soft moonlight shines brilliantly over the flowing stream and illuminates forest and shrubs on both sides of the river.
