Fiery Eruption (Acrylic on Canvas 33" by 20")

This volcano awakes with a vengeance launching fiery red and yellow molten lava down the mountain. It also spews a white and black cloud of volcanic fumes and ash high into the atmosphere. The fiery red color on the left is balanced with the heavy black and white plumb of smoke on the right against a background of clear blue sky. I blend different colors to smooth edge transition and create continuity between sharp colors. The birds add a little bit more drama to this hellish scene.
